Fun felt items

Here are a few new felt items I have just finished up for Crafts by Alice:

Double Popsicle Set (orange and banana)

Large Popsicle Set (grape and strawberry)

Wonderland Lollipop Set (cotton candy, blue raspberry, and orange)

I think I am going to focus most of my time on felt food. I have so many new items I want to make and I'd like to have them finished in time for the holidays.

I am also working on a few new Pop Culture Icon Dolls, but I have no idea when I am going to get them done. I'll try to take some WIP pictures of them and post them soon.

Two of the BGs

No, this post is not about Barry, Maurice, or Robin. This post is about my new felt trio, the Bug Girls or the BGs. I haven't finished them all yet, but I thought I'd show you the progress I have made, thus far.

You'll probably remember seeing Bessie the bumble bee:

Bessie_2

She showed up a few months ago as a WIP. Well, I didn't do anything else to her, just left her the way she was. She turned out the way I wanted and I didn't want to mess it up trying to add antennae to her head.

And here is the newest member of the BGs, Evie the dragonfly:

Dragonfly

I pictured her as the female version of one of my favorite characters from my favorite Disney movie, Evenrude from the Rescuers.

I still have one left, Pheobe the butterfly. She is still in the drawing stages, so she might take awhile. But at least Bessie and Evie are done. Wasn't it Meatloaf that said, "Two out of three ain't bad"? He's right, though I don't think he was talking about crafts.

Bessie (WIP)

I am taking a very quick break from studying to check on a few emails and my Etsy store orders, so I thought I would post a WIP that I have in the works.

Bessie_2

This is Bessie. She is part of my new Bug Girls or BGs trio. She still is in need of a few things, like her antennae, but she is mostly done. Her friends Evie and Phoebe are in the works too, but are not as far along. I'll try to post pictures of them as they come together!

More "Poisoned Tea" News

Wow, I am so amazed at how people have responded to my poisoned tea softie. Here it is on Craftzine. Yeah!!!

I have another "poisoned" idea that I am working on, and I am thinking of submitting to Anticraft. I'll keep you posted on the progress.

Thing A Day Project #14

Today I made. . .

Poison_tea

My entry into Dabbled's Anti-Valentine's Day Contest.

It is titled, "Darling, How about a cup of tea?" and includes: a tea cup with black hearts (see I knew I would find a use for them somewhere), saucer, spooky cookies, corroded spoon, and a poisoned tea bag.

I am also so excited that my entry and some of my felt cookies have been featured on Plush You!

Maybe this will be a Happy Valentine's Day after all!

Thing-A-Day Project Day #7

Today I made. . .

Owls

More owlies for the Pay it Forward swap.

I haven't sent my Pay it Forward crafts out yet, but I want to get them in the mail sometime in February or March. I hope to have all three packages in the mail by the end of the month!

Sweeeeet

Here is another item that I finished this past weekend:

Bonbon

A few crocheted bonbons. I think they look great on my new shabby chic plate, which I got an incredible deal on :)

I am still debating whether to add magnets to them or leave them without. They will be available in my Etsy store soon.
